Somewhere in the long line of ancestors, names are linked. I have come across many different ways the name is spelled. Currently my maiden name was Ballegeer. Somewhere the long line the should be a connection. Have you ever found or seen it?
No, I have never come across that spelling. Our family name started out as Bolliger in Switzerland during the 17th century, changed to Bollinger in Germany after that, and ended up as Bolinger starting in the 1840s in the US.
